gently was created to reduce unwanted sounds, chirps, and alarms coming from our phone. It ended up helping the people who sound leaves behind.

It started with one rule: no phones in the bedroom.

A husband and wife who wanted their bedroom back. No more blue light before bed. No more wi-fi signals next to our heads. No more doom-scrolling at 2 AM. No more restless nights with the phone on the nightstand calling our name

We agreed the bedroom should be a place to relax, talk, read, and sleep. We wanted a calmer, quieter way to wake up. One that didn’t disturb either of us when one of us had an early start.

That idea evolved into a minimal wrist wearable that handles our morning alarms, meetings, medicine, child pick-ups, birthdays, and the dozens of little things our phones used to nag us about. We freed ourselves from the tether. We hope it resonates with you.

When does gently ship?

Production begins after our Kickstarter campaign in summer 2026. We expect to ship reservations in 6–12 months, in the order they were placed. Reservation holders are notified before each production wave.

Can I get a refund on my reservation?

Yes — all reservations and deposits are fully refundable up until your unit ships. We use Stripe for secure payment, and refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.

Do I need a phone or data plan?

You’ll need a phone for the one-time setup (free iOS & Android app), and to set up alarms. Once a alarm is set, gently runs entirely on-device. No data plan, no Wi-Fi, no ongoing connection required.

How long does the battery last?

About 7 days of typical use. A full charge takes around 20 minutes — you can leave it on your wrist while it charges.

Is gently water-resistant?

gently is IP67 rated — it shrugs off showers, dishes, sweat, and rain. We don’t recommend swimming or submerging beyond 1 meter for more than 30 minutes. Water proof devices coming in 2028.

Will it track my heart rate, sleep, or location?

No. gently doesn’t track vitals or location. We believe quiet means quiet, we prefer our privacy too — your data stays on your device, never on our servers.
