Our Commitment
Gently LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the user experience for everyone and to apply relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
gentlyus.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard. We are actively working to bring all content to full conformance.
Measures We Take
To support accessibility, Gently:
- Designs and develops the Site with accessibility considerations from the start
- Uses semantic HTML and ARIA attributes appropriately to support assistive technologies
- Provides text alternatives for non-text content (such as alt text on images)
- Ensures sufficient color contrast for text and meaningful visual elements
- Supports keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
- Avoids relying on color alone to convey information
- Provides clear and consistent navigation
- Tests with assistive technologies, including screen readers
- Reviews accessibility periodically and after significant site updates
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts to ensure accessibility, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Third-party content: Some embedded content (videos, social media widgets, payment forms) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We work with our vendors to improve accessibility but do not control their content.
- Older content: Some images or PDF documents created before our accessibility standards were updated may lack full text alternatives. We are working to remediate them.
- Live content: User-submitted reviews and product photos may not always include alternative text or captions.

Compatibility
The Site is designed to be compatible with the following:
- Recent versions of major browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
- Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), and TalkBack (Android)
- Operating system magnification and high-contrast modes
The Site may not be fully compatible with older browsers or assistive technologies that have not been updated.
Assessment Approach
Gently assesses accessibility using a combination of:
- Automated testing tools (such as axe DevTools, WAVE, and Lighthouse)
- Manual testing with keyboard navigation and screen readers
- User feedback received through the channels listed below

Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We will continue to improve the Site and update this statement as we make changes. If our conformance status changes — for example, as we complete remediation on known limitations — we will update this page accordingly.
